By accessing and using Saltire Studios' applications and services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use our services.

Saltire Studios provides AI-powered applications and services, including but not limited to:

• Storyfy Me - AI-powered story generation from images
• Newsyfy Me - Personalized news aggregation and AI-powered summaries
• Future Applications - Additional services as they become available
• Related Features - Associated tools and functionalities

To access certain features of our services, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your account information remains current and accurate

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use our services. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Some of our services are offered on a subscription basis with recurring charges. By subscribing to our paid services, you agree to the following:

Subscription Plans

• Different subscription tiers may be available with varying features and pricing
• Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, yearly, or as otherwise specified)
• All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
• You must provide accurate and complete billing information
• You authorize us to charge your designated payment method for all fees
• By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method

Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You will be charged the then-current rate for your subscription plan
• We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with advance notice
• Price changes will not affect your current billing period

Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for certain subscription plans. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee when the trial period expires.

Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
• Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion
• Refunds, if issued, will be processed through the original payment method within 5-10 business days

You agree not to use our services to:

• Upload, transmit, or distribute any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or offensive
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or user accounts
• Use our services for any commercial purpose without our express written permission
• Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with our services
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to our services. By using our services, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide our services
• Use AI and machine learning technologies to analyze and generate content based on your uploads
• Create derivative works solely for the purpose of delivering our services to you

Our Intellectual Property

All aspects of our services, including software, algorithms, AI models, designs, logos, and trademarks, are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the exclusive property of Saltire Studios.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our proprietary technology without our express written permission.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Service Disclaimer

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Guarantees of uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free service
• Assurances that results will meet your specific requirements
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saltire Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
• Third-party conduct or content on our services
• Any damages arising from your use or inability to use our services

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for our services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Using the account deletion features within our applications
• Contacting our support team at support@saltire-studios.co.uk
• Cancelling any active subscriptions through your account settings

Upon termination, your right to access and use our services will immediately cease. We may delete your data in accordance with our data retention policies.

Our services utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to generate content. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content may not always be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your intended use
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before use
• We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated content
• You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for critical decisions

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Material changes will be communicated to users by:

• Posting the updated Terms on our website
• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Notifying you via email for significant changes
• Displaying an in-app notification upon your next login

Your continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must discontinue use of our services.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United Kingdom.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Saltire Studios, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

• Your access to or use of our services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any content you upload or generate using our services

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Saltire Studios regarding your use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
